How Can i change my computer into hosting server.

I have static IP.

BroadBand Connection.

Would this be your personal computer? or a computer dedicated to hosting?

If this is your personal computer I would highly suggest against turning it into a web server as your machine will be constantly accessed by visitors and if you don%26#039;t know how to properly secure your computer, your data might be compromised.

That said, if you%26#039;re willing to risk it (going with a paid host is so much cheaper and easier) you can check out the following tutorial to configure IIS on your machine (assuming XP) to host sites to the public.

You will also need to point your domain to your static IP via the registrar and you will notice that your bandwidth will become saturated relatively quick if your site becomes popular.

Also check with your ISP to see if they allow hosting. Most don%26#039;t, and if caught, you can get a hefty fine or service disconnected.
