Purchasing software, I need to know what this means "Hosting Requirments"?

I would like to purchase some software that says

Hosting Requirements:

Linux or Unix Server

PHP 4 or higher

MySQL 4 or higher

What does that mean? I use Yahoo as my hosting company and I do not know if I meet these requirments. I also do not know where to go to find out what any of that is.

Any information that you can give me would be greatly appreciated :)

Yahoo hosting (Small Business) shows that it supports PHP %26amp; MySQL as you can see at the below link.

The only thing that I am not sure about is if it is running on Linux. You can probably safely assume that they do, but you should check with them about this.

If you are using one of those yahoo free websites, you won%26#039;t be able to run any scripts, so you will need to purchase a hosting account.
